A NTU Doctor, Raising His Middle Finger to Be the Ambulance Way

     In, Dec. 27^th , 2010, the ambulance saved an old woman dying in Taipei City. According to the law, if you hear the whistle, you need to make place for ambulance. But the ambulance met a driver being in the way, raising his middle finger and braking quickly. The act put off one minute that the ambulance went to the hospital late. As a result, the old woman was dead. The driver said he had obsessive-compulsive disorder. Through people researched from the Internet. They finally found the driver, who was a doctor in Department of History, NTU.

     The Department of History, NTU said the doctor, Mr. Xiao, had a good behavior student in the school. It is very surprised for NTU that he is in the ambulance way. But he is an adult, so they decide to hand over to police. If he needs to help, the school will provide the Psychological counseling.

Annette Lu said that Tsai not qualified to run for The Presidential Election

     Former vice president Annette Lu said Tsai doesn’t have qualification to elect the presidential election.  And she said that why DPP can’t find a better candidate for the presidential election. 

    

     According to the result of five special municipality elections at December 12th, Chairwoman Tsai Ing-wen is unsuccessful on five special municipality elections.  People within the DPP though they should have won three or four municipality elections but they only won two metropolises.  Annette Lu said Tsai should step down to take responsibility and so are some within the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).

     Although the anti-Tsai noise is expanding, there still some people support Tsai.  DPP Legislator Tsai Huang-liang said” While the time Tsai led DPP, their number of votes at every election has increased.”  Some within the DPP said that Tsai doesn’t need to step down. 

    

     Some DPP lawmakers supported Tsai and persuaded her to run for The Presidential election.  But Lu said “If a candidate lose on a low level election and run for the high level election, media will think DPP have no talent.  The media will immediately ask, doesn’t the DPP have other people?”. 

    

     Tsai said she will continue to lead the DPP.  About the news that she is going to run for The Presidential Election, Tsai said they need further consideration.  

     For the five special municipality elections, DPP didn’t fully successful.  That has become the challenges for Tsai to lead DPP.

The riot behind Russian soccer

     On December 11, Some 5,000 men and women claim to mourning for the Moscow soccer’s fan, Yegor Sviridov, who was killed in fighting by the Chechenians that gathered in the Moscow's Manezh Square.  At first, these congregants are very quiet until someone said “disobedience”, they started to fluctuation graduatelly. Finally, the mass of people were shouting that said “Fighting the Chechenians, saving the Moscovites! Fighting the Chechenians, saving the Moscovites!” toward these anti-riot police. The anti-riot police arrested 700 people in city centre.

     The cause of the Mopscow soccer’s fan, Yegor Sviridov, who was killed  by Chechenians. On December 6, when Sviridov went to take a bus and met a group of Chechenian, they used some insulting remarks that had erupted over the conflict. Suddenly, a Chechenian shot Sviridov’s head by four rubber bullets. Therefore, Sviridov was dead. Police arrested these Chechenian, but release them quickly.

     A spokesman for the police, Vitkor Biryukov said to Interfax “They had expected a fight in street, so the local police were organized riot troops almost 1,000 people. And they had confiscated their air guns, knives, many sticks and stun guns. ”

 Finally, the Vitkor Biryukov said “they will reinforce patrols in city centre.”

     After the riot happened, Russian Federation of Minister of Internal Affairs, Bolat Nurgaliyev who said “When they gathered that not only soccer fans, but also had ultra-nationalisms in the Moscow's Manezh Square, these ultra-nationalisms were incited to cause the large-scale riots.” And the Russian Government wasn’t allowed anyone to ignore their rules. Therefore, the Russian Government will judge seriously and fairly by offenders.

     These ultra-nationalisms employed congregant’s mood to raise a disturbance. This thing reflected racism between Russians and Chechenians. In next race, some Moscow’s soccer team will play in Caucasus. It will lurk a huge problem behind the Russian soccer.

The environmental pollution caused by the sixth naphtha cracker fire

     According to the Fire Station in Yunlin County said that the sixth naphtha cracker fire was happened at 20:12 pm in 25^th, July 2010. At the time most of residents were watched TV. Suddenly they heard a deafening sound and ran out of home. In the evening, Huang Yoa-nan who is sixth naphtha cracker assistant manager said the fire was caused by pipeline leakage and assured that they would put out t he fire within twenty four hours. And he said the heavy fuel combustion that would produce carbon dioxide not cause pollution and not affect our health.

     However, residents thought that if it rains, the dust was generated by the combustion of the fire which would affect nearby fish pounds and produces. They request Formosa Petrochemical Corporation must be responsible for all produces which were damaged by the dust in the future. According to scholars studied that the heavy fuel combustion would generate sulfur dioxide which is the main reason to form acid rain.

The sixth naphtha cracker fire caused large amounts of toxic gases that polluted the water with the rain fell. That caused two thousands of ducks which drank the water and died in 27^th, July, 2010. And owner said as long as the ducks drank the water would be dead.

Korean officials would cheat on behalf of China.

     November 17^th Asian Games in Guangzhou, women’s 49kg level competition. Taiwan’s Taekwondo athlete Yang Shu Jun was disqualified by referee without no warning and provoked some peoples to anti-Korean sentiment. “We didn’t have athletes to participate in the Taekwondo competition, and the chairman of the committee is Chinese who decided to cancel Yang’s competition qualification, but Taiwan put all the responsibility on us” South Korean Chosunilbo newspaper said the past few days. South Korea Taekwondo association also said: This thing is the host country relations between China and Taiwan, there is no direct relationship with South Korea. South Korea government’s thinks that competition should find out the truth, and should look for the organizers to solve the problems.
    
     The South Korean Office in Taiwan said that it is very unfortunately that Yang Shu-chun was disqualified.  But the event was expended and evolved into a situation that we destroy and boycott Korean products.  It really needs to be concerned.  And they also said they will express regret to Taiwan Governments.

     Legislator, Shu-Fen Lin says if we focus on Korean Filipino trial Sung-Day Hong and secretary-general Zen-xi Liang of World Taekwondo Federation (W.T.F), we won’t find the truth. In fact, the all thing that China is the biggest beneficiaries. And they have enough motives to incriminate that Shu-Chun Yang is cheating. Chinese player Wu-Jing Yu who win a gold medal, she confess if Shu-Chun Yang is judged suspension, she is really relieved. Shu-Fen Lin thinks “The Sports Authority requests Taiwanese to resist, but this thing causes many grievances. On the other hand, the mass media transfers peoples unsatisfactory through anti-South Korea event. President Ma set a stop point for the constantly to lose.

     The legislator Huang Huang,Wei-Cher said it is apparent that the main commit is the Chinese Technical Committee Zhao Lei.  Hong Sung-Tang is just is the accomplice which execute the event.  Excepting consider Korean a s Punching bag, we also need to find the truth of the event.

Flora Expo

     The 2010 Taipei National Flora Expo is first International Horticultural Exposition that Taiwan is holding with official authorization acquired from the (AIPH).

      Taipei is the first city where the Flora Expos is held at downtown area. Besides, it combined art, culture, Environmental protection and technology.

   
      There are four places which are expected to hold the Flora Exposition.

   
      The expo venue is located around Yuanshan Park, Taipei Art Park, Xinsheng Park, and Dajia Riverside Park in Taipei City. The total number of exhibition halls mounts to 14 halls.

   
      There has a special style building which is designed a butterfly masterpiece.

The whole building structure uses recycle iron for carbon reduction. It’s a non-air-condition, semi-open space which is an unprecedented building.

The embezzlement of Entrance Examination of Technological and Vocational Education

    
     The Kaohsiung District Prosecutors Office investigated had finished a case of fraud.  Li Qing-Yun, the person who is in charge of Taichung Pei-I Cram School, Dong Shang-De, the engineer of Entrance Examination Center and fore examinees’ parents were accused as suspicion of offense. 

     The forty examinees were investigated or transferred to the juvenile court. Prosecutor Xie Zhao-Jing indicated Li Qing-Yun and Dong Shang-De own up their crime, but their conduct hazard the fairness of the Entrance Examination seriously, suggested judge to sentence them severely.  

     According to the indictment, defendant Li Qing-Yun, forty-five years old,  was suspected for bribed Dong Shang-De, forty-five years old, with an eye to alter the examinees’ answer card and let the examinees admitted to an ideal school because he want to increase his cram school‘s reputation and to improve its’ performance.   

     In 2007, during the time of Uniform Entrance Examination, Li asked two examinees, Wang and Cai, took examination in Taipei and gave their ticket number to Dong.  After the day examination finished, Dong wore rubber gloves and bring the key of work room which was copied.  Then took out the answer car and altered it before putted it back. Dong got twenty to fifty thousands dollar as reward.  The two examinees’ got 694 points and it was the highest score in 2007.    

     During 2007 to 2008, Li told twenty-nine examinees that if they don’t know the answer of the questions, paint full the square of answer card then Dong alter the answer card as right answer.  Li promised to help Dong settled his fore million debts and gave him quarter million as reward. In 2007, one of the examinee is the First of the Entrance Examination.  In 2010, Li and Dong helped thirteen examinees plagiarize, six of them were the First of each subjects.

     Prosecutor indicated that Dong Shang-De got six hundred thousands remuneration from Li Qing-Yun and two examinees’ parents.   Many of the examinees admitted to National Taipei University of Science Technology, National Taipei University of Technology and many of other University.  The Ministry of Education had extorted the examinees’ information as punishment.

3 arrested for allegedly tattooing man's back

     A total of three young suspects were arrested on Thursday in Taipei for allegedly tattooing foul language on a 19-year-old man's back. The 20-year-old main suspect, surnamed Liu, was a senior classmate of the victim, surnamed Lee, during Lee's junior high school days. Lee had been the target of physical and verbal abuse from Liu for years. The two met again after four years at the Beitou area in Taipei City last month when Liu recognized Lee on the streets. Liu forced Lee to get into his car and took the victim to his home in Danshui, Taipei County where two other suspects were already there. Together, the suspects used an electric tattoo pen to tattoo expletives together with an image of a middle finger on Lee's back by force.

     The three continued to bully Lee and imprisoned him for two days until he was finally released. Lee was too ashamed to tell anyone about the tattoos after his release and the police did not learn about the case until one of Lee's friends told a police officer in the Beitou Police District that Lee needed some help. Police later found Liu and the two other suspects, and they all admitted that they had tattooed words on Lee's back. However, they refuted the accusation that they had imprisoned Lee.

     It was done out of “fun” and all they wanted was to practice their tattoo technique on the victim's back. Lee was quoted in the report as saying that he only agreed to have them tattoo on his arms but they forced him to have expletives tattooed on his back as well. He was angry and nervous when he found these tattoos could not be washed away. He was also afraid that Liu and the other suspects might hurt him if he told anyone about the tattoos, so he kept quiet for more than half month.

     The report said a plastic surgeon had already expressed willingness to help remove the tattoos on Lee's back for free, which usually costs around NT$ 300,000.

Chilean miners rescue race “miracle”

     The Chile mineral disaster was occurred on Aguest 5 from the San Jose Mine near Copiapo, Chile.  The Chilean government looked for these survivors. After this disaster happened 17 days, they found that 33 miners were trapped underground. Thrity-three miners writed “All of miners are very well on shelter” on a small paper. This information was began to resuce 33 miners task.

     The task was expected that the Chilean government will rescue them until December 25.  At 10:10 on Ocotober 13, they resuced the first miner. Originally, they spent an hour to resuce one person.  Until night, they finally spent 40 minutes but ultimately spent 20 minutes.  It was very successfully that they resuced them to just spend 10 weeks overground.  And finally all of miners was resuced on October 14.

 

     When they were trapped underground, they got these foods and drinking water rely on a narrow tube.  Under the ground, they had a regular schedule.  In the morning, they did some activities such as play cards, listen music & basketball live show and sing the Nationalhymne to increase their morale and slept on time at 10 o’clock p.m.  In order to enter the phoenix cabin, they kept their strength.  Finally they had be successful because of their family.


      It’s the longest days underground by 33 miners.

      “I hand the shift over to you and hope this never happens again,” the last miner out, Luis Urzua, 54, told Pinera.  Luis Urzus was the best leader during the Chile mineral disaster.  He distributed the limited of food to survive 17 days until the resuce workers contacted with them.

   

      The miracle included three-quarters of techniques and one-quarter of wonder.  These techniques such as “drill the shaft” made in America, “crane” made in China, “optical network equipment and webcam” made in Taiwan (MIT) and more.  Many nations was provided all of the best techniques in the world.

     When they resuced the seventh miner, the president of Chile, Piniella said “The rescue task is proud of our nation.  I am very excited.”  And he announced that they will build the Monument to the Chile mineral disaster.  It was display a hope for our children and grandchildrean.  The president of Chile, Pinera never gave up untill they resuced all of miners.
